The Butterfly

One of the three graduation films I worked on as production designer while at Norwich University of the Arts, The Butterfly has gone on to win various awards including Winner of the Best short film at the Royal Television Society East Student awards in 2022. The film is a mixture of stop-frame animation with live action. I painted all the backdrops in watercolour to create a playful world for the film as well as sewing some of the costumes for the fairies, most notably a pair of victorian style bloomers.
